Cities today are undergoing diversification and globalization, creating multiple challenges and issues that need to be resolved for realising a sustainable society. NEC is working with partner cities across the globe to help them take the next steps in Smart City Innovation.
At this event, NEC will showcase live demonstrations of its Smart City platform, “Cloud City Operations Centre,” which enables the city to collect, analyze and share data with citizens, city officials and local partners. These innovative technologies were developed with an integrated approach that can process and analyse vertical data provided by a wide variety of sources across the public sector, thereby enhancing the quality of services provided to citizens.
Moreover, Mr. Peter Anderson, Head of Bristol Operations Centre, City of Bristol, and Mr. Javier Concha, EMEA Cloud & IoT Business Director, NEC Iberica, will take part in a keynote session under the theme of “Challenges and Opportunities of Smart City Programmes,” discussing how digital transformation of city operations has been realised through actual case studies.
NEC will be also presenting its innovative solution on Smart Energy to the Liverpool Mayor, as a finalist of the “Liverpool Mayor’s Challenges” in Smart Environment category, where the solutions of successful winners will be deployed in the Liverpool City on a trial basis under a real-world city environment.
